Fresh off the plane: Summer Learning Journey

The bustling noise of the aiport deafens me, I had just exited Arrival gates to thousands of people to patiently waiting for a friend or family member. I felt alone, just waiting meanwhile I camouflaged myself into the hordes of zombies. As my taxi drive off into the city, I start to wonder the transition from the outskirts of Tokyo, to the magnificent skyscrapers of the city). I finally arrive at a small hotel but  really amazing, I wonder if this what to expect when I travel all around Japan?

Day 4: A book you could read while on a plane?

Continuing the trend, the task for today( If you had to choose out of 3 books, the books were the hunger games, Matilda and Diary of a Wimpy Kid). I chose The hunger game because of the plot in this story but also how every character is written into this story ( I should call it Character development). I reccomend this book to some curious kiwis if they like long, in-depth books ( Would reccomend not for people under 12).

Reccomendation:

For Day 4 activity 1, I have to recommend a book I have read in 2016. The book is called the Crossover ( created by Kwame Alexander). This book is about Josh and his family, Josh has a twin brother called JB. They are the sons of a European Basketball legend, and their Principal! This book is mainly centered around his family and basketball but also the destroyer of it. JB ( Josh's brother) has fallen in love with a girl that Josh despises. The girl creates a bigger rift in the family but also the twins. I would reccomend this book to AJ, because the book is mainly about Basketball ( which is one of his hobbies) but also has a complex plot.

Summer Learning Journey

Today, I have finished my last activity for Day 3 ( Even though this has taken 2-3 days). The activity was learning about the weather of your capital city ( When you will be going to that country next week). 

Day 3: Activity 2

Now, today I have finished Day 3 ( Don't worry, I will be doing my Bonus activity but in one full blogpost). We were asked to create a airline. I created AKA star. AKA star mean Red Star ( Aka in japanese translates to Red).  The logo looks at its flying away ( Which was definitely my intention). 

Day 3:

Today, I've resumed continuation ( Due to school and Prizegiving). Well anyways, Safety in Airplanes are really important as you're are tavelling over countries ( Or oceans). I will be resuming the Summer Learning Journey.

Summer Learning Journey: Bullfighting

Bullfighting 2 reasons:

I personally think Bullfighting should stop because of these two reasons.

Reason 1:

Bullfighting has injured or even more worse, caused deaths. You may like the entertainment but for what cost. We might lose nothing but the matadors might.

Reason 2:

The Matadors put their life on the line. Bulfighting are a risky sport. Matador could inspire young kids to do this sport. Worst case scenario: A young child try to fight a bull, bad things could happen to the kid.

Day 2: Summer Learning Journey

I've finally started Day 2 of the Summer Learning Journey ( Don't worry, I will be doing Week 1's bonus activity in 1 blog post). Anyways, this is my DLO about the 5 questions of your  country capital city ( In my case, Tokyo). You would be asked 5 questions about your capital city.

Summer Learning Journey Day 1:

Yesterday ( Despite  this was finished  on Saturday  I had no time).  I finished my 1 official activity of the Summer Learning Journey.  The task was to find 3 facts about your country ( In my case, I chose Japan). 

Week 1 Day 1: Choosing my Destination?

This Summer Learning Journey, I have decided to pick Japan as the country I will be learning about this learning journey. My previous Summer Learning Journey, I picked Germany. I have picked Japan as it provides me alot of information but also learning about their culture, languages they speak and many more. My goal this journey is to surpass my tally of blog post of 12 last year. 

Summer Learning Journey:

On Tuesday, my school will be finished ( But that doesn't mean I can start this amazing journey). If you have not been here since the beginning of 2016 or the Term 2 holidays. This Journey usually  takes 2-4 weeks. I'm participating in this event as prepares me for the future but also makes my mind train it self ( I know it does not make sense).  My goal this time, is to make sure I post up everyday but also comment on 10 blogs ( As well).

Powerful Person:Germany

For an activity(or task), you would be tasked to choose a powerful person from your country you chose at the beggining of the journey. You would had to chosen one individual person. I chose Joachim Gauck.He is the Current President of Germany since 2012.

My Favourite Subject?

What is my favourite subject in school now( which would obviously change when I leave school).That subject is Maths, one of my favourite subject to learn every time I'm given the chance to learn about. I don't know why but maths is something I always love since young years.

Schools comparison

Since school is quickly coming back so I  tried to compare two countries and their schedule for school,obviously I chose the country I picked for the Summer Learning Journey. I compared New Zealand & Germany School schedule. Even those I love the schedule I have, I still think I would go and try out the German school system because how in-depth it is.

Which Landmark I'll visit

For this task or activity you would have to choose a landmark from the country you chose at the beginning of the learning journey. The landmark I chose was the Berlin Wall.I chose this landmark because the importance this has in history

New Holiday:

Since I picked a Country which divided itself I would United German Day:

This day would be remember simply because of the Events of the Berlin Wall. This would happen on November 9th so you could have a day off to visit family in Germany But every Leap year it would be two days. 

Day 5:Act 1

Landing In Berlin:

I froze as people walk past me quick

Signs are risen when I walked through the terminal

No family or friends here.

I stood looking around

No one talked or froze

I felt isolated from everyone

it felt like was extinct

and never existed from the world

Create a Airline

For a bonus activity, You were given $1,000 create an airline and to be used in New Zealand as well as the Logo. The Airline I created Northern Airlines, the reason why I called it Northern was because it would take care of flights in the North Island as it is shown that more people live in the North Island(Cites like Auckland,Wellington & Hamilton).

Day 2: Activity 1

For Activity 1: I had to watch an Air New Zealand Safety  Commercial and think on three thing shown on the commercial which you need to be safe on a plane.

1.  Buckle your seatbelt: One of the easier rules to follow when in a plane. Having your seatbelt helps you from flying into other people,family or friends seat, buckling your seatbelt protects you  when the plane is flying or landing.
2.  If the plane your passenger is bumping around, it's better to put your hand on your head and move it until it touches the back of the passenger who is in front of you. Another way is to have your nearly touch your thighs and maybe knee-cap with your hands covering your face.
3. If your the captain say that the plane is falling remember to find the capsule with the lifejacket. If you see a child not knowing to put blow up his lifejacket, help him because of the impact if you land in the sea.

Day 2: Ticket to Germany

The Airline I picked to get to Germany is Lufthansa. Lufthansa because its an German Airline an is suitable for the area I would choose.
