Trip to Tahuna Torea Reserve:

Yesterday,  the Senior school went to the Tahuna Torea  Reserve. Last year, we unfortunately didn't have our school picnic due to terrible weather condition. Luckily, with the money we had already put in for the trip. We used that money to go to the Tahuna Torea Reserve in Glendowie. Room 5, LS1 and LS2 spent 2 hours at the reserve learning about the Godwit/Kuaka's habitat. Thank you to Mrs Anderson, Mr Ogilvie, Mrs Kirkpatrick and everyone who had fun!

Rhythm Interactive

Monday was a very energetic day. The Entire school ( It was split into their block, Seniors & Juniors). We all met the Rhythm Interactive group ( We met Lucy and John). We were all captivated by their great drumming skills. Sebastian & I created a DLO to showcase our learning about the rhythm Interactive.

Stig Wemyss Visit:

Today, Sebastian & I finish a DLO on a recent visit from Stig Wemyss. If you don't know who this is, he is an audio narrator for the Andy Griffith books. Stig amazed all of the senior school with amazing sense of humor and making us laugh through out the visit. Stig is currently on tour around New Zealand (So hopefully you get to meet a hilarious person).

Today, Sebastian and I created a DLO on a book we learned about the Olympic Athletes. This was a fun activity involving our first female Olympic but also the young NZ athlete.  We compared Modern and past Olympic athletes then and now

Today, my partner & I were working on a DLO on Attributing images mainly based around the Rio Olympics. The Olympics is is 1 week and a half away. So we attributed images to be based around this

ANZAC Poems

During the holidays, ANZAC day will happen. Now since it been 101( And 97 years since the end) years, our teachers came up with the idea to remind us the authors purpose to writing  4 famous poems. I think personally that this task was fun due to the fact that you had to add your evidence for your thinking ( of the main idea).
