Week 1 Day 1: Choosing my Destination?

Image result for Japan

This Summer Learning Journey, I have decided to pick Japan as the country I will be learning about this learning journey. My previous Summer Learning Journey, I picked Germany. I have picked Japan as it provides me alot of information but also learning about their culture, languages they speak and many more. My goal this journey is to surpass my tally of blog post of 12 last year.

Hello Pote, I liked you gave reasons why you chose Japan as your country. Make sure you double check your work Pote because there is a sentence that doesn't make sense. Anyways keep the good work up.

Hi Pote, Cecillia, AJ and Oh Hsen - it is wonderful to see that you are all reading each other's posts and providing thoughtful, helpful and positive comments. I,too, love that Pote has chosen to focus on Japan. I had the opportunity to live there for a year back in 2005-2006 and I loved it! It is the most amazing blend of old and new, east and west. I particularly loved visiting the temples when I was there and sampling the food. I must admit that some of the food was a bit too 'out there' for me! I like some sea food but I draw the line at raw octopus :)

As AJ indicated, it is really important for all of us to check our posts. Thanks for reminding me! I will make sure that I read through each sentence before I hit 'publish' as it's easy to make mistakes and then post a blog that doesn't make complete sense.

Keep up the supportive and encouraging work guys! And keep up the blogging, Pote. I know that you can surpass your mark of 12 posts last year!

Cheers,
Rachel

Konnichiwa Pote, (that's hello in Japanese)

What a great start to your Summer Learning Journey you've already made, well done! It's fantastic to see so many of your friends already interested in your blogs - it's fun to read and comment on others :-)

I think Japan is one of the most interesting countries you could have picked. Their culture is vastly different to ours in New Zealand, so you'll be able to learn lots of new and exciting facts about Japan.

I like that you picked a country that is so different to the one you chose last year for your Summer Learning Journey, well done! It's always good to learn about new countries and their cultures.

I think you'll definitely be able to top 12 blogs this summer, I'm looking forward to reading them all. Keep up the great work Pote. Maybe next time you could find another Japanese greeting like I used here? Their language is certainly very different to English.

Until next time!
Dan.

Hi Pote
Awesome start to the summer learning journey. Japan is a country that is very different from us (They speak a different language, they have different religions/cultures and much more). Keep it up!
Daniel
