Water Care

On Monday,Sally from Water care New Zealand visited room 7 to talk about our estuaries waters.Sally told room 7 that the more saltwater the denser the water gets.Did you know saltwater is easier to float?For our experiment,Sally made us do the rainbow experiment. You will need these ingredients:Group of four pupils,two teaspoon of saltwater and three colours of food colouring.At the end  of the lesson I have learnt that we drink recycled water meaning we drink wastewater.

 

Hunger Games:Catching fire review.

hunger Games:Catching fire is all about last year's hunger games.With bringing old characters from the first movie.Hunger games has improved from low and bad player to previous winners of the hunger games and with hight-tech performance training.I will give this 4.5 stars out of 5 stars.

My Report

Being Busted  

On Saturday 9th November lots of exciting families and their kids who go to Panmure Bridge School went to the School Party that was presented by C3 Church.

Kids were having fun like there was no tomorrow. The School Party was postponed  from term 2 because of the bad weather. All of the families who went to the party felt relaxed and extremely pumped. Kids were allowed to do 4 things,  drink, eat, listen and play.

Kids were allowed to drink hot chocolate, eat sausages, listen to the dj and play in the police car.  The police car felt like being busted in a dark police car.Pote thought about the party:It was extremely pumped and it was exhausting for everyone because we stood in the hot lonely sun.

For four  weeks I have learned decimals.Decimals are the opposition of multiplication and  the answer is times tables.   

Tamaki River

I learned many things about the Tamaki River. This one of them.I have learned  that the Tamaki River bridge was built in 1865 at a cost of 17,000 pounds.The first Tamaki River  bridge is nearly 148 years old.Isn't it a amazing?

My other narrative

It was October 31 2011,In Bradford,UK,four children ,Joseph, Kane, Jillian, Steve and Kim got ready for halloween. The night before, Joseph's mum and Jillian’s dad went to the new grand opening of the shop Roman’s holiday Empire. Joseph’s and Jillian's best friends, Kane and Steve also went , Kane went with his baby sister, Kim. Joseph and the gang had marked their suburb for tricking-treating on halloween .

This is set at a old blueish house in Bradford,UK.Four characters, Joseph, Kane, Jillian, Kim and Steve.

4 best friends decide to pick the most evil costumes of all time.There costumes turn into the bad character.

The car drove off slowly of the driveway.”Where is my new school.”Wait and you’ll  see for yourself.””We are here Kate.”Brooklyn Best’s Intermediate.Kate was anxious bored as always.Kate was a smart girl and always be kind,when 8 years old she learned how to pick a lock and be more faster than her athletic mother.

I soon look dull like I was in amazement.

Kate soon realised that her classmate are trying to kill her.They soon found that Kate is a good person.

What I have learned about Tamaki River

I  have learned so far that the tamaki river is the narrowest of the west coast of the north island.The tamaki river is so close to the Manukau harbour,when you're on the motorway,on your left would be the Tamaki river and on your right would be the Manukau harbour.

Taupo

Taupo is the centre of the north island,the only thing that made me think that Taupo was one of the biggest  eruption in the world.did you know,the Te Rapa village on the shores of lake Taupo was land washed when heavy rain started.The great Tuwharetoa chief.Te Heuheu II  and 60 villager died.Mostly I learned about volcanic rocks like Tephra,Ignimbrite,Obsidian,Pumice and Rhyolite,all found around or in Lake Taupo.If you have a good look in the volcanic eruption it actually  burned and buried all living animals around Lake Taupo like Moa's and others. Did you know Oruanui ash layers have been found Chile,South America and the Chatham island,New Zealand.Mt Taupo is found around the shores of Lake Taupo.My question is. When did Lake Taupo was made.

It was finally here it is a event that brings Panmure and Glen Innes together. Interschool rugby was here. Eleven interschool rugby team trying to be the best, make there school proud and there family too.Panmure bridge school had 5 teams. three teams were boys rugby and two other teams  were girl's rippa rugby.  Here's the boys results. Year 5 and 6 restricted came second, year 7 and 8 restricted team came second place and the year 7and 8 open side came last. The girls rippa rugby result are in. The year 5 and 6 rippa girls came third place and the year 7 and 8 rippa girls came third place too.

My Recount

Night at the Stadium

Having  seen rugby legends on tv and them have  fun, well some bumps and bruises, but I just don’t want to get hurt.

On a dark and lonely Saturday night  of the holidays my family parked right in front of a  famous stadium in Rugby and the Itm cup. It was Albany’s favourite land mark, it was North Habour Stadium. My mum had to go to her union meeting  in one long, bored and tired hour. So it was tiring but we had do something. We  went and  stayed closely outside and been amazed it was a big Stadium. Seeing all the shops where people get food and shirts did make me jealous but I did get a hotdog there.

Right after 9.30 pm I checked how long the width of the stadium was but I didn’t take long until I was trapped between a rock and a hard place. It was frustrating not to get it right because I will just go sleep half way. At least I had a try at the measuring and  it will be last time I will do that again.

By now it was 9.50 pm, we had to go and hop back in the car and slowly that  North harbour Stadium  faded out of sight like I was blind and I could barely remember what happened.

While being at my mum’s union meeting  made me think. “Would I ever go back or I just let it slip like all the other ones.” I felt sad and blessed that I didn’t spend longer but I did  have happy moments there. But again I might come back grown up.

Swimming 2013

Swimming has just started and people are learning to swim. Room 7  have been getting swimming lesson for 1  long week and already people  are getting into their  togs and ready to get in the warm,hot water they just want a  cool rest in the pool. It  not that bad to do it if your a good swimmer  like myself.I am ready for any challenges  ahead of me. Well my time  has ran out so I'll say try more harder and you can start swimming  at any age.

Duffy Theatre

July 30 2013

Finally 30 of July and time to have laughter and your thinking cap.Today everyone wondering why  Duffy's car was parked  right next to the hall but you had to wait and see. Well I thought it  will be old character from last year's show.At school usually you start of with a boring morning and then after lunch it goes exciting to what going to happen but it middle of the day that is the going to be the best part.Right after morning tea you see new characters get to join into Duffy history of happy and wonder.In this story, Duffy start a story for Scruffy  his brother. He start to read about a story called Duffy loses his words.

It  all start when it night time,it like his nightmare that is happening real. Word sharks a evil world smash player who is trying to seek revenge on player he had played against in all ten year!Duffy was tricked by Word sharks and almost sucked out  all Duffy's words.The next morning Duffy well he get's everything wrong even wearing his own's mum clothes.Soon as his friend called Afi.Afi was saying it was the speech compition today.She wondering what topic today.Until Duffy and Afi starts reading the paper areoplane that Duffy found  this morning.Word sharks  was saying abou a  word challenge at lunch.

Finally it all comes on one shot to win back Duffy's words back.Word sharks  does a crosswords  so he can keep Duffy's words to himself.They all answer questions one by one except one a myth that Afi couldn't get right but Duffy did in Te reo (It maori).Duffy won his word back by other languages.The lunch bell rang and it was time for the speech compition. Afi chose rapping for her topic.This is where the story ends.Just remember it is cool to read!

    Today we used Google Maps for our topic this term.,Punakaiki Rocks. I learned that The Punakaiki Rocks  were created 30 million years ago. They got their nick name,Pancake Rocks,because of their layers. The Punakaiki  Rocks are down the road  from Punakaiki town which is above Greymouth and beneath Westport  on the West coast of New Zealand.

On June 11 2013 Mauriora and I had been chosen to go to the fonterra Science technology Roadshow 2013  generally because our teacher only chose 2 people to go from school and end up at Tamaki college who are hosting the show.63 people went,10 were parents and 2 schools went.The first demonstration showed us there,two hosts Andrew and Dave showed us that if you use a smaller area on a big object the pressure will not break for example a egg,you  get a glove.If you try your hardest it can still not break because the force is not  very hard that why the pressure is getting very calm so it won’t break but when you hit it on the side of the bowl it break it because it is a smaller object on a smaller area  the force could easily break it in half. 20 minute later he showed   us amazing thing when you have a vacuum and a beach ball throw up the beach ball start flying it can still in the air because the Bernoulli's principle show people that it will stay on angle for a long because the pressure on keep it flying Daniel Bernoulli wanted to know know how to keep smaller ball in the air.The session  Name was ballons and Bernoulli.Finally it was time to see the exhibit that was my favourite part.Everyone tried all the exhibit. There 18  exhibit all about human performance,materials,metal detector,tricep and bicep,following movement how your body move,animal voice and how to save electricity.    

 

Howick Historical Village Day

July 11 2013

Today senior people were ready to have one awesome day.The

Howick Historical village  was our trip today,soon as the bus arrived we were ready to have a bumpy ride.




Some people from room 7  have already been here before and already know,but the others were going to learn more about the topic this term.the first activity is all about toys, who kids like us use to play in the past. Every toy was about Jacob's ladder.The second activity were one of the funny
 activities. It was about classrooms what people used to work in the past.Only one person got the cane.We had a health inspection so everyone would be safe in the classroom. The second thing we did was linking words on slate boards.

Finally the third and last activity of all,playing with outside toys like the devil,graceful,Slits, horsey and the board with 3 people on it.  After 1 hour  it was time put away  the outside toys into the shed and time to have our lunch.Right after lunch we had a tour of everything in the Howick Historical Village.  Only somethings you can not see like the captain houses, the only rule we were not aloud to do was not to touch anything.

After the tour we learned something, we learned  about our topic this term.We learned  about how to make flour,what were blacksmith,how did early settler lived in,how to make wallpaper,what is toliet soap and what did they use for toliet paper.At the end of the day feeling like we wanted to go for more longer, but one notice it was one of the best trips this year! 

    

My future classroom

 In my future classroom you can see rooms for learning like a reading area and a teacher aide room for people to read and people who need in the classroom.There are a computer room so everyone post learning things on there blog so everyone people have been learning.There game area because if you want play outside but it is raining the gaming area is all you have to go to.There are a history and maths room because in history you want who did what and in maths you learn how to to count in 1s to 12s fast as you can.
