My new Article for a new planet

Oh My God!

On this date, 19 of December, 4320. A new planet has been found 300 miles away from Pluto.This new planet was found when tourists used a telescope on Pluto to search for any other planets. Harry who found this planet got to say. “It’s a very historic event ever.”This planet is called Eagle. This planet is the biggest  ever planet in the Solar system! Since this discovery, billions of people have debated if this planet is a star.  Which side should you choose?

Biggest day of my Life!

12 of November is always the average day for every  child in New Zealand and around the world, but that day is special for children in the Manaiakalani cluster. This cluster is set around 11 schools who all have Net book, Chromebooks and I pads. These schools are Panmure Bridge School, Glenbrae, Tamaki Primary/College,Saint Patrick and  the list goes on.

Panmure Bridge School slowly step off the 3 individuals buses and headed into the Sylvia Park where they will find Hoyt Cinema. We calmly sit down in our rows to watch 14 movies( 4 minutes each). As the movie continued most of the students who watched the movies laughed on and clapped on their fellow pupils.

During the time  at the film festival, I like most of the movies. I like the movies which were presented because the classroom from those schools put lot of work and determination into the  movies they made for other people to watch.  But one  movie stood out to me. It was Science  Hunger games from Tamaki College from Year 9. This festival is one of the best times for the film festival.

Pentominoes Puzzle

Today Room 7 has been learning about pentominoes. That means that there are five squares stuck by its side in any shape. This task was created by Mrs Miller for Maths. The Task was to solve a pentominoe puzzle with a buddy. With my buddy we arranged and rearrange shapes into a small or big rectangles. This task took a lot of thinking and patience. Finally we figured out a two shapes and they were both rectangles. We thought this task was a bit hard and frustrating.

Term 3 Relection

Junior Cultural Show 2014

Yesterday, the senior school attended a cultural show of what was created and presented by our other half of Panmure Bridge, the Junior school. The 4 rooms(Junior School) had to choose a culture and investigate the culture in dance,music and  rhythm. This task was completed in  term 3  for the Topic that the whole school was learning,  Changing Faces. The show was a really great performance to watch, the speakers of the room(which were the people who introduced the country that they selected) were very clear to hear for  the people and parent who were at the back. My favourite part of the cultural show was the conclusion  of the show.That was room 3's performance which displayed the dance and music of the  Cook Island. They had everything with them, their own drumming group and Confidence. The part at the end of their dance was spectacular and hilarious.We saw Raera of the girls and Nicky of  the  boys. This performance was one of the best performance of the time I been at Panmure Bridge School.

How to play Nba2k14

Around the world, many many fans have played a sports packed game called  Nba2k14. Nba2k14 is a online and offline basketball game. This is what you need to do when playing this fantastic game. Even the nba players themselves buy and play this game as well.On this game there many things you have make sure you don’t do like getting fouls, ejection from the game and making sure your ankles don’t be broken.

If you're playing on  games console like Xbox 360, Ps3, Ps4 and Xbox 1,  you just have to get controller and select your team from the exhibition section. Like if you want to play a friendly match, as like  the  nba final, Spurs against the Heat. If you want to challenge yourself, change the  opponent level to hall of fame( which is the Hardest level there is on the game).

When you have created a team online,  wonder what your team line up is, their uniform, who the manager will be, and what playbook they know and will  learn.  When you have completed the goal and  have won the nba playoffs, you would have a unique classic   uniform, a legendary line-up ,  a great manager and a vintage playbooks from one of the best teams in NBA history  like the Chicago  bulls of season  (1991-92)  playbook.

In 2k14, you can create and choose the play style you want your created player to be like. Your first step is to play in the nba   rookie showcase. The better you play, score , assist, the better your teammate  grade is and,  the bigger the  chance of you being drafted in the top 5 of the draft lottery. If you get ranked 99 overall that means you have been upgrading your character traits, offence and defence,  shooting 3pt(Three Pointers) and 2pt(2 pointers). Also by winning  special occasions like M.V.P(Most Valuable player),Slam dunk champion, three pointers contest, playoffs and  the inaugural, NBA  All Star Game. 

If you have completed all modes from 2k14, you are  a  boss of all bosses of  NBA2k14. Also try Gm(General Manager) mode if you want to change a original nba  team like the Orlando Magic, into a team you want in the NBA. Guide your team to the nba playoffs, defeat your opposition  and become the   Conference’s and league’s champ GM. These are my  steps of how to play NBA2k14.

King of Tonga Facts

Last week Room 7 celebrated Tongan Language Week. In reading We have been reading Tongan book. Here is my facts about the holiday that's been celebrated in Tonga on the third and fourth of July.

Tongan Language Challenge

Today is the start of Tongan Language  Week.  in Room 7, Everyone was   learning  and saying any word that is tongan. I had learned what the fruits in tongan mean and how to say it. My  goal is to learn all of the tongan phrases and greetings in one week. Here is the goal I was trying to beat.

Netball Reflection

For half of  term 3, room 7 had been having Netball lesson with Merin, our instructor for netball, she had taught us many things about netball. She even  taught about the position  in netball. As well as the related games of netball. I have mostly liked  the netball lesson that  Merin had been teaching us. In the last week of Netball, room 7 was cut into 3 team, I was selected into the position of GK(Goal- Keeper). At the end of the session we had won 3 out of 4 games we had, one game we had a draw. This is me going up against their GS(Goal- Shooter). Netball was fun but I'm ready for the next Kiwi sports activity to come. This is me going up against their GS(Goal- Shooter). I just want to thank Merin  for teaching us Netball for half a term.

Auckland Museum

Migration

Riding in the back of the bus heading to the Auckland Museum which is filled  up with many Historical items.

Walking off  the  un-crowded bus where I can see the other school already parked. The boys(which included me)  headed with room 8 and caught up to Room 5 and the Room 7 girls.We sat down on the ground because all the girls sat on at right, Room 5 boys sat in the middle and the girls sat at the very left of the seats. Couple of minutes later we take of our heavy loaded bag and  dump it into the bag locker and head straight into  the stairs with the whole classroom and into a room with 3 head teachers.

While we were in there, we learnt more about our topic, Migration, what our grandpa and Grandma bought  with them.11 am ticks by and our lesson finishes we then head down the stairs and into the galleries where we find our instructor Frank and a other women. As we looked the map at the   of  the pacific. we were taught that in the pacific, there is 3 main group that divides the pacific.There is melanesia, Polynesia and Micronesia. As we headed to the activity I was thinking about the first waka's who made it to Tamaki Makaurau(Auckland but in Maori.)Could they ever sail again. As we headed back to have lunch the history I have  learnt about migration was  skeptical. I wish I should learn more.   As we headed into free time my group included Bianca, Eric, Sa Kae and her mum. We went through many exhibition like the Volcanoes, American History and much more. In the Volcanoes, you could relive what  happened in a home if a volcano erupted. As you head into the American history, they are filled with guns that were used in all they had participated in but again it was the greatest moment of 2014

April Fools

In a rich suburb where kids only play indoors and people only  have dogs as pets.

Jake comes home from a boring day of school. Well  I should head to my console, Jake said. “Hhhhh”, Well no one has never pranked me on April the first, Jake said. Jake continues to play on his console.

“Bang” All the lights in the house turns off. Well the power had turned off, that was strange. Jake  walks out of his room with a torch and  down the stairs  into the kitchen. Jake quickly grabs the  frozen yogurt from the freezer and he heads to lounge. Jake waits for Trish  to come from her football training. A hour later, Trish opens the front  doors  and sprints to her room.

“Trish open the door, I’m scared. I think there monsters in this house.” Trish opens the door and Jake head to the dark corner of the room.  As Jake a waits for the monster to come. Footsteps creaks up the tiled stairs.The door handle turns around. Jake rushes to the door as  he hides in front of the door.”RAHHH!” Glen and Katie shout, as Jake scream with all his might.Wow that was was amazing, Glen said. Don’t scare me again dad and mum, Jake cried. Well you been...”April Fooled .”Jake rushes to his room, but as he enters the dark room. Jake turns on the lights and heads  back on to his bed and continues playing games on his console to find the power was back on. The END!

I will live in Britain. I would migrate to Britain if their was a war or a drought happening. Plus I will go because I will need to learn more about other people and their culture.

Bragging Rights

The  pride of my team is on the line. All in for nothing but this time, its bragging rights.

6 am ticks by. Everyone in my family was rushing out of bed and into the lounge to watch the World Cup final in Brazil. I watched the third place match  where  the host, Brazil locked horns with the Netherlands but the final was more intense  for me. I saw  the best player in the world, Messi and his team Argentina. Germany had  defeated Argentina in 1990 world cup final . I  was asking myself “is this what is going to happen? Argentina losing again or end their streak of losing  to Germany by defeating them once and for all?”

The Match started, most of the Argentine  fans were  only wearing one number, that  number was the number 10. Just 25 minutes later Germany had  missed all of their 4 attempts at goal  because of the veteran goalkeeper Argentina had. His name was Sergio Romero.” Swish” the ball went through the net I was screaming like I had just been scared to death but everything went horrible, the goal was denied by the match referee because it was offside. Trying to calm myself, my family left  the room in horror.

                                                                                                             

As Full time approached, both teams were  still scoreless after 90 minutes.  Both  teams  missed every opportunity they had been given. In Extra time right in the 118th minute of the game  Germany had scored, I was devastated  by the score. Messi had to score from the free kick just 20 yards out. All of the Argentine fans chanting Messi’s name in the stadium to give him some momentum, ” Bang” the  ball hoisted onto the crossbar and out. By the time the game had ended, I was crying like a baby just because my team lost the final.

Auckland Botanical Family Photo

On Tuesday Room 7 and Room 5 had a long walk  through Auckland Botanical Gardens. We walked through many places like the Herb garden, Edible garden and the Potters kids garden.One of the few highlights of my trip was a vintage shed where it shows the door and a chair. We took some photos on the shed. I imagined  sitting in a shed acting like a ordinary kid in the  early 20 Century, when their were no internet or phones to use or call.

During  my time at the Botanical Garden, I saw a Kauri,  a Pigeon and some Cactus plants. I have learnt more about threatened plants and the beautiful smells of nature. That day will always be in mind forever.
